Finding the right keyword research tool for your needs can be surprisingly difficult.

There are dozens of different keyword research tools out there and each claims to be “the best tool for you”.

But the “best tool” for an established SEO agency might not be the same as the “best tool” for a small business with a limited budget.

The fact is, the best keyword research tool for you will depend on your specific goals and experience level.

We know this because we have thoroughly tested dozens of different keyword research tools. We’ve even created a series of guides for how to best use each tool to create SEO content that ranks.

More importantly, we decided to turn that information into a simple breakdown of the best tool to use for each of the following use cases:

  1. Best Tool For Comparing Keywords
  2. Best Tool For Finding High-Profit Keywords
  3. Best Tool For Creating Valuable Content
  4. Best Tool For Generating Unlimited Content Ideas
  5. Best Tool For Finding Long-Tail Keywords
  6. Best Tool For Finding Low-Competition Keywords
  7. Best Tool For Understanding Your Competition
  8. Best Tool For Identifying User Habits
  9. Best Overall Metrics
  10. Best Tool For Beginners
  11. Best Tool For Identifying Search Intent
  12. Best Tool For Creating Supporting Content
  13. Best Value Tool
  14. Best Tool For Identifying Ranking Opportunities (especially for new/low authority sites)

Ultimately, keyword research can be as easy or involved as you want it to be. So, no matter what your goals are, how experienced you are, and how technical you want to get with your SEO, one of these tools is sure to be the right fit for you!

1. Google Trends – Best Tool For Comparing Keywords

Google Trends isn’t a typical keyword research tool. However, it is a very interesting keyword comparison tool. Trends is offered by Google primarily so that businesses can make data backed decisions based on search behavior, but you can easily repurpose it for keyword research.

Pros

  • Allows you to quickly identify and compare patterns and “trends” in search volume data. This can help you plan your content output based on factors like seasonality and user location.
  • Helps you to analyze and compare user demographics and create the content your target audience is actually looking for.
  • Google Trends shows you “rising” and “top” queries related to your primary keyword. This is an excellent way to find additional content ideas to fill out your content calendar.

Cons

  • It doesn’t offer popular search-related metrics like keyword difficulty and estimated volume. This doesn’t matter too much if you’re using our AI content generation process, but it still might feel like you are “shooting in the dark”

Price

Free and Unlimited Use

Use Case

We would recommend using Google Trends if you are just starting out and want to use a free tool to compare which keywords you should prioritize. If this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Google Trends.

2. Google Keyword Planner – Best Tool For Finding High-Profit Keywords

Like Google Trends, Google Keyword Planner is not specifically intended for SEO keyword research. The data displayed in Google Keyword Planner is actually designed to be a valuable resource for people looking to buy Google Ads.

However, as a company that focuses on generating organic content (and lots of it), we have found an advantageous way to “exploit” Google Keyword Planner to find highly profitable keywords for our organic SEO content strategy.

Pros

  • All data comes directly from Google rather than any third-party sources. In turn, this improves the integrity of all the displayed metrics.
  • Google Keyword Planner has a “top of a range bid” metric. This demonstrates how much money an advertiser is willing to pay for their advert to be displayed for a particular keyword. Higher bids virtually always mean profitable keyword opportunities. Therefore by using Google Keyword Planner, you can quickly identify keywords with high revenue potential.

Cons

  • Search volume data is vague and doesn’t provide real insight into the number of visits you could realistically expect from an SEO-optimized keyword-focused piece of content.
  • Google Keyword Planner is primarily a tool designed for advertisers. Therefore the competition metric refers to PPC competition and isn’t relevant to organic content.

Free and Unlimited Use

Use Case

We would recommend using Google Keyword Planner if you want to take a data-driven approach to keyword research. Specifically, we recommend using this tool to help you make decisions based on profitability. If this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Google Keyword Planner.

3. QuestionDB – Best Tool For Creating Valuable Content

QuestionDB serves an instrumental and unique purpose. QuestionDB is a relatively “unknown” keyword research tool unlike most of the tools on this list. While it doesn’t offer detailed metrics like some other tools on this list, this isn’t necessarily a disadvantage.

However, QuestionDB is the perfect keyword research option for people who want to create meaningful content that serves their customers. As you know, the benefits that accompany creating excellent content are virtually endless: better user interaction/experience, more social shares, more backlinks, more traffic, more trust, and eventually much more money.

Pros

  • Allows you to cover particular topics in significantly greater detail, helping you to create more authoritative content; this can situate you as an expert within your niche.
  • Helps you to create concise and optimized answers for common user questions. This will enable you to satisfy search intent better and appear in Google’s featured snippets.
  • No email or credit card is required to sign up. It’s completely free.

Cons

  • While finding questions to answer through this tool is fantastic, the keyword ideas are not usually as exciting or as helpful.
  • QuestionDB doesn’t provide any specific search-related metrics. This means there is no search volume, keyword difficulty, historical data, etc.

Price

Free and Unlimited Use

Use Case

We would recommend using QuestionDB if you want a free tool where you can find popular questions to help you create more helpful content. If building credibility is important to you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With QuestionDB.

4. Soovle – Best Tool For Generating Unlimited Content Ideas

With Soovle, you can “let the web help” you. Soovle is unique in the sense that it is a search engine comparison tool. This means that Soovle compiles enormous amounts of data from various platforms including Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Wikipedia, and YouTube.

Soovle is also a great option for beginners who need instant content boost on their website. This is because Soovle is easy to use and it’s free. You can generate thousands of blog post ideas if you want to.

Pros

  • Allows you to see where there is commercial interest through Amazon search data.
  • If you are a small/medium-sized business implementing a content strategy through YouTube (as well as a blog), then Soovle can help you identify where to position your content to add the most value to your users.
  • Great for finding supporting content ideas. This will allow you to cover individual topics in more depth, helping boost your topical authority.

Cons

  • No search metrics. Therefore, without a secondary tool, it’s virtually impossible to understand a keyword’s difficulty, search volume, and revenue potential.
  • Sometimes the generated keyword ideas can be very similar. In these cases, you shouldn’t bother to create two separate articles. Instead, just generate one piece of content that will cover all similar keyword variations.

Price

Free and Unlimited Use

Use Case

We would recommend using Soovle if you need content ideas. Soovle is one of the best ways to build out a long-term content plan, so this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Soovle.

5. Ahrefs – Best Tool For Finding Long-Tail Keywords

Ahrefs is a household name in the SEO and keyword research world and no list of tools would be complete without mentioning them. By entering a seed keyword into the generator and clicking “find keywords” you will see various long-tail versions of your keyword that you can enter into your content calendar.

Pros

  • Accurate search metrics e.g. keyword difficulty and search volume due to Ahrefs having access to a massive database.
  • Ahrefs generates some really unique long-tail keywords. These keywords will often be great keyword opportunities for your website. This in turn will help you improve your rankings and your traffic.

Cons

  • While Ahrefs’ free keyword generator is good, it’s limited when compared with what is offered by some competitors.
  • A paid account is a significant investment that not everyone is willing to pay. Shared accounts are also against the Terms of Service.

Price

Free keyword generator option available

Plans start at $99 per month

Use Case

We would recommend using Ahrefs if you want an all-bells and whistle-included approach to keyword research. Not only does Ahrefs display really valuable metrics, it is also a brilliant tool for finding low-difficulty, long-tail keywords that you can rank well for. If this sounds like what you need, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Ahrefs.

6. Ubersuggest – Best Tool For Finding Low-Competition Keywords

Ubersuggest was created by SEO and keyword research expert Neil Patel. Therefore it’s understandable that Ubersuggest has some big expectations surrounding it. With that said, we definitely believe that Ubersuggest lives up to and even exceeds what we like in a keyword research tool.

Pros

  • The filtering options in Ubersuggest are immense. In simple terms, this means that it is really easy to analyze large sets of keywords and carefully choose the ones that have the greatest potential. We like to filter our lists by “page 1 ranking potential” . This is a great way to find the keywords that you can realistically rank well for, helping you to see much quicker results from your SEO content strategy.
  • Alternatively, you can filter your keywords by CPC (cost-per-click) . This is a solid way to find keywords that are more likely to be highly profitable.
  • Ubersuggest has loads of additional features that you can use for no extra cost. These include performing site audits to find technical SEO issues, rank tracking to see how well your content is performing, and backlink analysis.

Cons

  • The free version of Ubersuggest is limited as you can only perform three searches a day. With that said, you can sign up for a complete functionality free trial for 7 days to discover whether it would be beneficial to subscribe.

Price

Free 7-day trial

Plans start at $29 per month or $290 for lifetime access

Use Case

We would recommend using Ubersuggest if you are looking for a user-friendly keyword research and SEO tool that’s great for identifying keywords you can realistically rank well for. So, if this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Ubersuggest.

7. Wordtracker – Best Tool For Understanding Your Competition

Wordtracker is a relatively unknown keyword research tool, but it’s a really great option for anyone looking for an affordable tool to use for keyword research.

Pros

  • The metrics that you will find in Wordtracker are really comprehensive. As well as finding pretty accurate keyword difficulty and search volume scores, you can also look at historical data (think Google Trends) and an IAAT rating. IAAT stands for “In anchor text and title” (how many webpages are using the keyword in context). For this reason IAAT is great for measuring the true competition of any keyword.
  • Wordtracker is fantastic for conducting SERP analysis. Every keyword that you find in Wordtracker is also accompanied by a table that shows you the off-page SEO profile’s for the posts ranking on the first page. This is awesome as it will show you the number of backlinks, referring domains, “link juice”, and true difficulty that is associated with each keyword.

Cons

  • It’s a bit too “metric heavy” for SEO newbies. The various metrics and scoring can be off putting and confusing. Certain metrics in Wordtracker like CF and TF will confuse most people and may make conducting keyword research feel tedious.

Price

Free 7-day trial

Plans start at $27 per month, or $17 per month when paid annually

Use Case

We would recommend using Wordtracker if you want an easy way to include SERP analysis in your keyword research. If this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Wordtracker.

8. SpyFu – Best Tool For Identifying User Habits

SpyFu is a decent option for performing keyword research. You can create a free account to try it out for yourself. By no means is the free version of SpyFu as good at generating large numbers of keywords as Soovle or Wordtracker, but it does have a unique benefit that may be worth your attention.

Pros

  • SpyFu can generate a significant number of keywords when used correctly. By clicking on a “similar keyword” you can run a fresh keyword analysis. By going “down the rabbit hole” like this you can easily find some high-quality long tail keywords to create content for.
  • SpyFu breaks down the proportions of mobile and desktop users for each keyword. This is a pretty unique feature and may have some good use cases. For example, let’s say you have a SaaS product that can only be used on desktop it would make sense to target keywords with a higher proportion of desktop users.

Cons

  • The free version is very limited and takes some effort to generate a large number of keywords.
  • The metrics that are displayed don’t seem a bit out of line with other keyword research tools. We aren’t saying that this means SpyFu are wrong, however, it’s worthwhile to note there is a small discrepancy.

Price

Free version available

Paid plans start at $39 a month or $16 a month when paid annually

Use Case

We would recommend using SpyFu if identifying user behavior is important to you, especially if you’re interested in tracking and measuring analytics. If this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With SpyFu.

9. Moz – Best Overall Metrics

Moz, which started as SEOMoz is perhaps the most famous keyword research tool. Moz developed the metric domain authority (DA), which is primarily what most other tools base their keyword difficulty scores off. Moreover, Moz has a huge dataset of over 500 million keywords, so finding quality content ideas won’t be too challenging.

Pros

  • Moz have metrics that other tools simply don’t offer, including Organic CTR (click through rate) and their notable priority score. These metrics can give you great insight into the keywords you should be targeting. Moz is great for expert SEOs and beginners because it advocates taking a data-driven approach to keyword research. Instead of choosing keywords because they “fit your niche” or because “you want to write it” you will be choosing topics that will deliver better results.
  • The “keyword suggestions” section has good filtering options and can help you identify topics that are uber relevant, but outside the box. Keywords like this can expose your brand to a fresh audience who want to read your content and even purchase your products.

Cons

  • The premium version is expensive. We recommend trying their free keyword explorer first to see whether it fits your content goals before investing.

Price

Solid, but limited, free version available

Premium plans start at $99 a month, or $79 a month when paid annually

Use Case

We would recommend using Moz if you are obsessed with performing data-driven keyword research. Not only does Moz give really accurate search-related metrics they even provide a “Priority Score” to help you decide what and when to write. So, if this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Moz.

10. Serpstat – Best Tool For Beginners

Serpstat is a fantastic keyword research tool, especially for beginners. Its user-friendly interface is straightforward to navigate, and finding rankable keywords is not too challenging either.

Pros

  • The “keyword overview” section will show you a list of domains that are ranking on the first page for your target keyword. It will also show the total number of keywords that a particular domain is ranking for. This is really helpful as it will allow you to quickly gauge the authoritativeness of the content that is already doing well. Too many authoritative websites ranking for your target keyword is a good indicator that you should avoid creating content for that specific keyword.
  • Serpstat shows PPC and CPC metrics that are great for identifying profitable keywords. Look for low difficulty, high CPC (over $1) keywords and generate content around these phrases.

Cons

  • Their keyword difficulty metric isn’t particularly accurate. However, the “keyword overview” section compensates for this.

Price

Free 7 day trial

Plans starting at $69 a month

Use Case

We would recommend using Serpstat if you are someone who wants to conduct keyword research without a headache. This is a really easy and user-friendly tool to use, so if this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Serpstat.

11. Semrush – Best Tool For Identifying Search Intent

Like Moz and Ahrefs, Semrush is one of the huge names in keyword research. Just like the other two Semrush lives up to its premium price tag. However, the Semrush keyword magic tool can also be used quite extensively for free (10 searches every 24 hours).

Pros

  • Semrush clearly labels the search intent behind each keyword. You will want to spend a lot of time focusing on creating content for “commercial intent” keywords as these are much more likely to lead to sales and commissions. However, you can also find “informational intent” keywords that can help you to build up website authority and trust.
  • Allows you to include and exclude keywords from your dataset and apply multiple filters for “intent”, “CPC”, “Keyword Difficulty” and “Volume”.
  • Helps you find questions as well as keywords so that you can create more compelling and valuable content for your audience.

Cons

  • The paid version is expensive and some of the features are seriously overwhelming for any beginner to intermediate users.

Price

Limited free version available

Paid plans start at $119.95 per month or $99.95 if you pay annually

Use Case

We would recommend using Semrush if you have trouble identifying search intent. Semrush makes it easy to plan your content strategy by choosing keywords based on intent and other search-related metrics. So, if this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Semrush.

12. Answer The Public – Best Tool For Creating Supporting Content

Answer The Public was recently acquired by Ubersuggest in order to expand their service offerings. So, why did Ubersuggest want to acquire Answer The Public? Well, that’s because Answer The Public is an entirely unique keyword research tool that takes a different approach to keyword research.

Pros

  • Answer The Public offers elite data visualization. Using this tool is a really easy way to quickly find an abundance of keywords related to your wider topic. Using an automated article creation strategy alongside finding content ideas with Answer The Public is an exciting way to quickly expand your content calendar and achieve topical authority.
  • You can generate visualizations for three keywords a day completely for free. Although this may not sound like a lot you can easily find 30+ blog post ideas this way.

Cons

  • Keywords that you find don’t have search related metrics so it’s difficult to know whether you can realistically rank well for them. You have two options to counterbalance this. Firstly, you can use another free keyword research tool like the Ahrefs free keyword generator to find the metrics. Alternatively you can create the content anyway using an AI writer that allows you to create entire articles with a single click.

Price

3 free searches daily

Paid plans start at $99 a month or $79 a month if paid annually

Use Case

We recommend using Answer The Public if you are looking to fill in gaps within your content calendar. Finding supporting content ideas for pillar posts is our favorite way to use Answer The Public. Again, if this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With Answer The Public.

13. KWFinder – Best Value Tool

KWfinder by Mangools is priced at just $29 a month and it comes fully equipped with cool SEO functionality that is perfect for beginner bloggers right through to experienced SEO content managers.

Pros

  • It has all the standard metrics that are helpful for selecting keywords including keyword difficulty, search volume, CPC, and trends.
  • KWFinder is beautifully designed. There are loads of charts and colors which is fantastic for quickly finding the keywords you want to create content for.
  • As part of your Mangools subscription you will also have free access to a SERP analysis, backlink analysis, and rank tracking tool.
  • The SERP overview is similar to the off-page SEO profiles offered by Wordtracker. They provide a much more comprehensive report into the “true competitiveness” of each keyword. This includes metrics like Domain Authority, Page Authority, and Link Profile Strength that can give you valuable insight into the websites that are already ranking well.

Cons

  • KWFinder doesn’t offer some of the additional keyword research features that come with other tools such as intent identification and priority scores, with that said it does do the basics very well, especially at the affordable price point.

Price

Free 10 day trial

Plans start from $29.90 month paid annually

Use Case

We would recommend using KWFinder by Mangools if you are looking for a low-cost keyword research solution that offers additional features like rank tracking and competitor analysis. This is another really user-friendly option that makes keyword research so accessible. So, if this sounds like you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With KWFinder.

14. LowFruits – Best Tool For Identifying Ranking Opportunities (especially for new/low authority sites)

LowFruits is a very unique keyword research tool that is optimal for beginners looking for ultra-low competition keywords. It also offers some advanced features like keyword exclusion and authority filtering while maintaining a low price point.

Pros

  • Helps you to easily identify “low hanging fruit” keywords. Simply, enter your search parameters and hit “enter”. When you choose to analyze a keyword the tool will feed back any “weak spots” to you. These will be really easy to identify as each keyword will have an apple next to it. These apples represent a website ranking for the target keyword that you can realistically overtake.
  • It’s amazing for long tail keyword research. You can enter queries with operators like “best laptop for *” and LowFruits will find hundreds of abstract long tail keyword ideas. For example, “best laptops for microsoft office” and “best laptops for live streaming”.

Cons

  • Metrics like search volume are fairly in line with other keyword research tools. However, metrics like “search volume” can be deceiving and don’t provide the complete picture in terms of potential traffic.

Price

Free 10 credits

$25 for 2,000 credits, $60 for 5,000 credits, $100 for 10,000 credits

Use Case

We would recommend using LowFruits if you are new to keyword research and SEO. With this tool you don’t even really need to think about keyword metrics such as difficulty and CPC because LowFruits will identify low-competition keywords for you. So, if this low effort approach sounds good to you, check out Our Full Guide To Keyword Research With LowFruits.

Does the thought of performing keyword research intimidate you?

If it does, you’re not alone.

Maybe you’ve heard about the benefits of a successful SEO content strategy:

  • More organic traffic
  • Greater market presence
  • More leads, conversions, and revenue (sales, ad revenue, affiliate commissions)

But all the information out there can make SEO seem complicated, and it can be hard to know how or where to start.

Luckily, you do not have to be an SEO expert to create high-performing content, and you do not need to pay for keyword research tools to get started.

By following this guide and implementing the easy-to-follow AI-based strategy, you will be able to find profitable keywords at scale (for free) and generate your next month’s content in bulk with Article Forge.

By following this guide, you will:

  • Skip the SEO learning curve
  • Find keywords you can rank for in your niche
  • Produce 20+ high-quality SEO articles automatically
  • Increase your website’s relevant traffic
  • Make More Money

The Theory

There is no question that content is king. Creating high-quality, relevant content will help you rank higher and build authority and expertise in your niche.

The problem is that SEO is usually a numbers game: some posts will perform exceptionally well, and others will never pick up traction.

This is scary when you invest a lot of time and money into each piece of content.

But, if you can increase your total content output using AI, your return on investment (ROI) will improve massively.

This is because an AI writer lets you produce significantly more high-quality content per hour and dollar spent than traditional methods.

Maintaining quality matters, but creating content at scale will ensure that your sites rank for more keywords and that real people regularly visit your sites, convert, and make you money.

So, without further delay, let’s get into the exact strategy you can use to make keyword research and content creation effortless.

The Strategy

Below is an overview of the entire strategy. We recommend reading through this guide in order the first time. But as you continue to use this strategy, you can easily navigate to any step here:

  1. Keyword Research with Free Tools
  2. Automatically Generate Blog Posts With Article Forge
  3. Generate All Your SEO Articles in Bulk
  4. Optional: Enter Your Own Section Headings for More Control
  5. Bonus: Interlink Your AI Articles To Create Content Clusters

Step 1: Keyword Research with Free Tools

Your first task is to create a list of ~20 keywords. Later in this guide, you will turn these keywords into full SEO articles with AI. We’ll break this down below:

Start with a broad topic you want to create content about within your niche.

If you’re not sure what you want your broad topic to be, think about different aspects of your niche:

  • Are there types of products or services your audience is looking to buy?
  • Does your product or service help people with different needs or use cases?
  • Are there popular topics in your niche that people are actively searching?

Asking yourself these questions will help you develop broad topics that your audience cares about and will help you create content they can find.

Once you have decided on your broad topic, it is time to create your entire list of keywords.

We recommend choosing a mix of informational and transactional keywords for the best content balance.

Semrush explains the 4 different types of keyword intent here.

Producing both informational and transactional posts will help you strike a quality balance between the posts that can make you good money and those that will help you establish authority in your niche.

To do this, we recommend using two tools:

  • QuestionDB for finding informational keywords (especially questions)
  • Wordtracker for finding low competition transactional keywords

(Each of these tools has their own strengths, but if you’d rather just stick to one tool, this strategy will still work).

To give you an example, we will assume that you have a blog about kitchens and you plan to make affiliate income through popular products and appliances. So, our broad topic will be “coffee machines”, but it could be any broad topic related to kitchens.

Top Tip:

Create 50% of your posts on informational keywords (including questions) like “How does a coffee machine work” and create 50% of your posts on transactional keywords e.g. “best single cup coffee machines”.

Use QuestionDB to Find Question and Informational Keywords

QuestionDB is a completely free tool (no sign-up required) that is great for finding keywords that real people are searching with.

This guide only covers exactly what you need to do to generate questions as informational keywords. However, if you want to learn more about the tool, check out our full guide to QuestionDB.

To get started, head to QuestionDB and enter your main topic from above as your “seed keyword” like this.

We chose “coffee machine” as our seed keyword because it is an expensive and popular kitchen appliance.

Now, just click “generate” and wait a few seconds for your keyword and question list to appear.

Now, use these results to make a list of the informational keywords that you would like to rank for (you might not want to rank for all the terms above).

Remember, targeting long-tail informational keywords will enable you to create valuable content that helps your readers.

Using questions as keywords keeps the content focused so readers will know what to expect. In addition, answering real people’s questions will gain you qualified traffic and will help establish your site as an authority.

Your goal here should be to make a list of at least 10 questions or generally informational keywords relevant to your niche.

Here are a few sample question keywords we’ll use for this example:

  • How does a coffee machine work?
  • What do you need to check before buying a coffee machine?
  • Are built-in coffee machines worth it?

Use Wordtracker to Find Transactional Keywords

Now, it’s time to create your list of transactional keywords that will make you money through product sales and affiliate commissions.

You could do this using QuestionDB or other tools, but we recommend using Wordtracker because it displays more keywords than QuestionDB, has really useful metrics, and is free with no signup process.

If you want a full walkthrough, we wrote an end-to-end guide for Wordtracker keyword research.

To keep this guide moving, you’ll start again by entering your main topic from above as your “seed keyword”. However, you’ll want to add “best” at the beginning of your search, like this:

Many strong transactional keywords start with the word “best” or “top” because they are comparison keywords people use when they are looking for recommendations. Oftentimes readers will use these listicle recommendation posts as a direct path to purchasing a product.

Then, simply sort “Competition” from lowest to highest to find the easiest keywords to rank for.

Bonus: Low values for “IAAT” are a good signal for your ability to rank easily. This metric counts the times the exact keyword appears “In Anchor and Title” for the sites ranking for that term. If this value is 0, it essentially means that other sites are not directly targeting this term and that you can satisfy search intent better than your competitors with a targeted post here.

Note: Don’t obsess over search volume here. Whenever you create a long-form article, you will rank for multiple variations of relevant keywords and other related keywords. Additionally, our automatic blog post generation strategy allows you to create content at scale, so you can target more volume across more posts overall. Finally, targeting keywords with low competition means your content can rank much more quickly.

Your goal here should be to make a list of at least 10 transactional keywords that are relevant to your niche.

Here are a few transactional keywords we chose for this example:

  • Best drip coffee maker
  • Best single-cup coffee machine
  • Best cold brew coffee maker
  • Best bean cup coffee machine

Step 2: Automatically Generate Blog Posts With Article Forge

You already know that writing enough content to scale your SEO manually is impossible. And finding, vetting, managing, and paying freelancers is expensive and time-consuming.

(That’s probably why you’ve turned to Article Forge)

Put simply, Article Forge is a one-of-a-kind AI article writer (not an AI writing assistant) that bypasses the manual writing process and eliminates the need to buy content from freelancers.

And as we mentioned earlier, this guide will show you exactly how to produce your first 20 articles automatically.

First, make sure you have your list of keywords from your research above.

Then, just enter your first keyword on the New Article Page and select your “Article Length”.

We recommend choosing 750 or 1,500+ words to give you a full, long-form, SEO-friendly article. By default, Article Forge will include relevant section headings to help further optimize your content for search.

Note: You can also create content as short as 50 or 250 words which are great for answering FAQs or creating product descriptions.

Once you have confirmed your settings, scroll down and click “Create New Article”.

Just like that, Article Forge will begin generating your first article!

Now, you could repeat this simple process for each informational and transactional keyword on your list. But, automating your content output is the most efficient way to start ranking for more keywords (and gaining visibility and traction in search engines).

Therefore, the next step is to show you how you can create all your articles in bulk!

Step 3: Generate your SEO Articles in Bulk

Article Forge’s bulk generator allows you to create content for all your keywords at the same time.

To get started, go to the New Article Page, but this time you will click on “Switch to Bulk Article Generator”.

Then, just enter each of your keywords on a separate line like this:

Finally, simply scroll down and click “Create New Article” in the same way as before. Now, the AI content writer will automatically begin generating all your SEO articles.

You can use this time to work on other parts of your business (or even sleep, we won’t tell!), and Article Forge will still create all your content for you.

Step 4 (Optional): Enter Your Own Section Headings for More Control

While producing all your content at once is incredibly efficient, sometimes, you might want to take a slightly more manual approach.

For instance, you might want more control over the topics Article Forge writes about within your article so you can link to specific product pages or add affiliate links.

All you need to do is uncheck the “auto-generate section headings post” and add the sub-topics you want to feature in your article.

With Article Forge, you can enter between 4 and 8 separate section headings. Therefore, you should choose between 4 and 8 sub-topics, or products.

For more information on how to get the best content from Article Forge, check out our AI article generation best practices.

After entering your section headings, your interface will look like this:

Just like before, once you have entered your section headings, just click “Create New Article”.

The AI article writer will then start to analyze your headings and produce SEO-optimized content for you – once again, you don’t need to write a single word!

Manually Perfecting Your SEO Articles

Once Article Forge finishes your articles, you can do whatever you want with them.

If you’re looking for maximum efficiency, you can connect your blogs to Article Forge and have your SEO articles posted automatically.

If the idea of fully automating the content creation process seems like a step too far for you right now, then it is really easy to edit your articles right in Article Forge.

Depending on your content needs, you may want to add touches of personalization and storytelling into your articles. You can even generate a few shorter articles with Article Forge and add them in to build out your content even further.

Regardless of your content end goals, Article Forge allows you to start from fully formed SEO articles with the click of a button. If you are creating your content in bulk, you’ll have at least 20 fully formed articles ready to be finalized and published in less time than it would take you to write one.

Article Forge allows you to take a daily writing task and turn it into a monthly publishing task all while helping you scale your content output.

And, if you want to fully automate your publishing schedule, the WordPress integration and post scheduler will allow you to do just that. Learn more about full content automation here

To fully optimize your SEO content strategy, you’ll want to cover your main topics in depth across multiple articles and tie them together with links. This is called creating “cluster content”.

Creating content clusters helps you rank for different long-tail keywords within your topic and build more authority overall. It will also allow you to cover a wider range of topics and help you target the most profitable keywords across different aspects of your niche.

Once you’ve created your cluster of SEO articles with Article Forge, you’ll need to link them together where relevant. Don’t worry, we’ll walk though an example of this below.

This interlinking strategy establishes a strong relationship between the posts and will help users and search engines navigate your website more easily. These internal links can also help distribute authority between posts to further help rankings.

How to Build a Content Cluster

For each topic on your website, you should create at least 5-10 articles to establish some level of authority. The more high-quality, relevant articles you have on a topic, the more you will be seen as the go-to expert.

You can build content clusters by creating main (pillar) posts and supporting SEO articles. Each cluster should have one pillar post. This will be an informative post that explains the topic in great depth and helps you build authority as an expert.

Example Content Cluster

Suppose you want to become an authority website in the coffee niche. This will require you to have two things; lots of valuable content and good link structure.

Creating a pillar article is crucial because it allows us to fulfill these two goals. This will be a truly comprehensive post that covers your chosen topic in much greater depth than the competition. Then, you will also have content that you can easily link to.

For example, your pillar post could talk about 10 different types of coffee beans and their flavors.

You can then generate contributing posts that focus on each specific type of bean and go into more detail about the coffee bean’s health benefits, origins, etc.

Then, you can add a link to each contributing post where relevant in your pillar post.

Each post we create will have a direct relationship to content that already exists within the pillar post. As a result, the links will effectively “pass on” authority, in turn leading to higher rankings for multiple posts.

Wrapup

As we have discussed in this article, automatically generating content using an AI article writer is the most cost and time efficient way to create content for your website.

Using our strategy of simplified (and balanced) keyword research to generate content at scale with Article Forge will enable you to create profitable content.

You can then simply repeat this process monthly or fully automate it to keep improving your SEO over time.

The bottom line is that regularly producing high-quality content is the most crucial factor in SEO.

SEO is a numbers game; it will take time to see results, even when using an AI content generator.

There is no shortcut to this fact, but by regularly producing content over time, you will start to reap the rewards. And taking advantage of AI to write articles helps cut the traditional costs and effort required to rank.

LowFruits.io is a unique SEO content tool that offers a fresh way to perform keyword research. LowFruits is quite literally about finding the “low hanging fruits” in your niche, meaning the keywords that are the easiest to quickly rank for.

LowFruits.io’s competitive advantage is that you can perform keyword searches by setting predefined conditions (think: how “filters” work in more expensive keyword research tools). This enables LowFruits to create keyword lists that meet your conditions and uncover high-opportunity keywords to exploit.

By reading this guide you will learn how to conduct high-impact keyword research in LowFruits. We will show you just how easy it is to find keywords that provide easy ranking opportunities, these are existing “weak spots” in Google’s results that we can take advantage of.

And most importantly, we will provide you exactly what you need to walk away with full length blog posts about every single one of these keywords. By using Article Forge’s AI writer, you can produce entire high-quality, relevant, unique  articles (1,500+ words) in a single click.

Contents:

Step 1: Setting Up LowFruits

Getting started with LowFruits.io is fairly straightforward and is representative of how easy the whole tool is to use.

Start by heading to the LowFruits.io Home Page and clicking “Get started for Free”.

Next, you will come to the registration page.

You can either sign in with Google or just fill out the few details shown above. Don’t worry, no credit card is required to sign up.

As soon as you click “Register” and verify your email, you will enter your main keyword research interface.

Step 2: Keyword Searching Options

Now it’s time to enter a seed keyword and generate a list of the best keyword opportunities to target – your low-hanging fruit keywords, or “weak spots” you can take advantage of.

However, there are a couple of things to be aware of before hitting search.

Firstly, LowFruits provide a couple of helpful tips that you should follow to generate the best content ideas:

These tips are not hard and fast rules that you have to follow, but they can definitely help you improve your seed keyword searches.

Advanced Keyword Filtering

The advanced filtering options provided by LowFruits are a great way to avoid results that are too competitive or irrelevant.

For this example, we will assume that you have a new website that has not yet built up any authority. Therefore, you should target keywords with a DA below 20 (if your website is more established and has higher authority, you can also target keywords with higher DA).

All you have to do is scroll down past the six tips and click on the “Advanced Options” dropdown.

When you click on the “Advanced Options” you will receive this dropdown menu:

First, select your country and language. If your website targets a global audience you will want to select “United States” and “English”. This is because these keywords are the most universal and convert well globally.

Target Low DA Websites

Next, select Max DA. Do not skip this step! It’s the easiest way to quickly filter out keywords that are too competitive and hard to rank for right now.

You should aim to target keywords where the websites that are currently ranking have roughly equal, or lower, DA than your site. If your website has very low or no DA, you can set this metric to 20.

Alternatively, you can simply enter your domain and LowFruits will automatically find the keyword opportunities that you can easily rank for.

Don’t worry, once you set your filters, LowFruits will automatically analyze all the websites that are currently ranking on the first page for your target keyword. You don’t have to do any manual work here!

Target Weak Domains

The next filter isn’t too important and you may choose to skip this step, but it can be a good way to target keywords where you have identified “weak competition”.

What do we mean by weak competition?

This could include websites that are:

  • Ranking with content that is largely irrelevant to your niche
  • Websites that appear spammy (lots of low-quality backlinks)
  • Plagiarized (duplicate, or scraped content)
  • Generally unsafe (lack of SSL certificates)

It may be tricky to find keywords where these websites are ranking, so don’t bother spending a lot of time finding these websites to target.

Exclude Words

Finally, LowFruits has an “Exclude Words” option. This is a good way to eliminate keywords that you don’t want to generate content for. There are a few categories here that we would recommend always excluding:

  • Existing forums (maybe use a different term)
  • Location-specific terms
  • Dates/years
Existing Forums

We always exclude online forums such as “Reddit, Quora, Forum, Discussion”. This is pretty self-explanatory, your goal is to create a high-quality blog post and not add content to an online discussion on an existing forum

These are also navigational keywords which means that a person searching for a keyword like “cryptocurrency trends reddit” wants to visit a specific website, in this case, a forum on Reddit about cryptocurrency, and not your blog post.

Location Specific Terms

Unless you are specifically targeting local SEO, you can also exclude words like “near me” and “countries”. In this case, these keywords are too specific to start with and the searcher will typically be looking for a very specific and location-dependent service.

Dates/Years

We recommend excluding years (e.g. best kitchen appliances 2018, how to turn off a Panasonic TV 2019). These keywords have virtually zero search volume, and even targeting a keyword with the current year isn’t recommended.

Your goal should be to generate evergreen content that will serve your readers both now and in the future.

Step 3: Find High Potential Keywords and SEO Weak Spots

Now that you understand how to optimize your keyword list by filtering out negative results, it’s time to perform your first keyword search.

For this guide, we will assume that you have a new website about household technology and your goal is to create a successful affiliate website that ranks for profitable keywords.

Since your website is new, ranking well for keywords like “best laptops” and “best phones” is unrealistic. So, we will need to target more specific, and related long-tail keywords to succeed.

Luckily, LowFruits lets you use wildcard operators (using “*”) to find hidden gems in your niche. For example, entering “best laptops for *” will reveal long-tail keywords beginning with “best laptops for”.

We know that laptops serve different purposes for different people, so using the above search will help us find long-tail keywords such as:

  • “Best laptops for work”
  • “Best laptops for gaming”
  • “Best laptops for programming”
  • “Best laptops for graphic design”

All of these keywords will be much less competitive, and easier for us to rank for.

Note: Even though these keywords will have less search volume individually, we can target more of them to cover more volume in total. Beyond this, long-tail keywords will rank for many more terms than just the exact match. This will rapidly compound your total search volume (we’ll cover this more in the next section).

Our search has yielded over 280 keywords that we are able to check out:

The next stage is to perform a SERP extract on some of the keywords that would make great content ideas for your website.

SEO is a numbers game – so extract as many keywords as you would like here to find the most potential winners at once. This is also an easy way to quickly fill out your content calendar.

Ideally, you will build up a list of at least 10 keywords and make a note of these in your notepad or in a spreadsheet. This will allow you to fill out your content calendar several weeks in advance.

We recommend taking the extra time to do this as it means you can perform all of your keyword research in one go, another advantage is that you will still be in “keyword research mode”.

In our case, we extracted three uber-relevant keywords to give you an idea and actionable example about what the SERP extract report in LowFruits actually means.

Does Search Volume Matter?

You will notice a common theme very quickly when you start running SERP extracts – keywords with higher volumes typically have fewer, or no, weak spots. This makes sense, the keywords that get searched the most tend to be more competitive.

However, search volume does not equal potential traffic. It’s entirely possible (common even) for a keyword with a “low” search volume to receive a solid amount of traffic.

Take the keyword “best laptops for instructional designers” – this keyword only receives 30 searches a month, however, the article ranking number 1 will inevitably receive much more traffic than this.

This is for a very simple reason: people are different and they search for information differently. An interview with senior Google employee, Ben Gomes, led to the finding that 16-20% of daily Google searches have never been searched before.

In other words, when you create content around a keyword, that doesn’t mean you will only rank for that exact search, you will also rank for many similar searches. For example, creating content on the keyword “best laptops for instructional designers” will often also lead to ranking well for extremely similar keywords, such as:

  • Top laptops for instructional designers
  • Best laptops instructional designers
  • Instructional designer’s best laptops
  • Best laptops for instructional designers 2022
  • Best laptops for instructional designers ever

So, does search volume matter?

Yes and no. Search volume is a good indicator of general interest in a keyword, however, you shouldn’t look at a low search volume keyword and assume creating content for it is a waste of time.

Low-volume keywords with “weak spots” often mean better rankings and more relevant traffic, helping to improve the overall SEO-related metrics of your content, and your website overall.

How To Find SEO Weak Spots

LowFruits directly points out the best keywords to target by highlighting keywords with “weak spots”.

The apples in the SERP extract report indicate these weak spots:

  • The green apple shows that a website with a domain authority that is less than the predefined rating (DA 20) is ranking on the first page for the keyword.
  • The blue apple means that a forum or discussion (typically on Reddit or Quora) is also ranking on the first page. This is a good indicator that there are not dedicated pages or posts targeting this keyword. However, if lots of forums are ranking on page 1, it’s probably better to avoid creating content for that keyword because it suggests many people are looking for forums.

The more weak spots that a keyword has the better the opportunity is for you.

LowFruits is also really good at identifying keywords that you should probably avoid. Your first instinct may have been that the keyword “best laptops for architecture students” is fairly niche and would be an easy keyword to rank for.

However, the analysis conducted by LowFruits shows that this isn’t the case. The lack of “weak spots” is a clear signal that indicates that this keyword is probably too competitive, at least for a newly established or low-authority website.

Picking our Target Keywords

Given the LowFruits analysis, we are left with two options for our next article. Both of these keywords are good options as they have multiple weak spots, so why not target both?

Creating two separate articles using an AI article generator couldn’t be easier. Therefore you don’t need to be too selective about the keywords you choose and can create more targeted content overall. The higher your content output, the more keywords you will rank for, and eventually, this will mean significantly more traffic.

Now that you have decided to use both (or more) keywords, you have come to the most important stage of the SEO content production process: creating your content.

Traditionally this has always been the most difficult and time-consuming step of producing SEO content. Fortunately, Article Forge’s AI-powered article generator is able to generate 1,500+ words of unique content with a single click.

Step 4: Use AI To Automatically Generate Articles

Creating content couldn’t be any easier when you are using AI writing software, it’s literally a machine that writes for you.

All you need to do is head over to the New Article Page in Article Forge and enter each of the keywords you identified in LowFruits. Only do one at a time though. Your interface will now look like this:

One of Article Forge’s unique abilities is that it automatically includes relevant section headings in longer articles.

You can also decide to pick your own section headings, but this is completely optional, and Article Forge does a great job of writing section headings for you.

Using Article Forge is a highly efficient step of the content production process. Now, you can perform keyword research in bulk to find the best content ideas that you can turn into publishable content using AI with less than 15 seconds of work.

You can keep going through your keyword list and generating content this way, or to improve your efficiency further you can use our Bulk Article Generator.

Step 5: Generate Content At Scale With Article Forge

If you were impressed with the last step, then our Bulk Article Generator will blow your mind. Simply, the bulk generator lets you produce content for multiple keywords at once.

This means that you can enter an entire list of keywords from LowFruits and turn them all into publishable articles in a single click.

To do this, simply return to the New Article Page and click on “Switch To Bulk Article Generator”. Now, it’s time to enter your keywords, just like before, all you need to do is enter the keywords you have already identified as part of your keyword research. Make sure to enter all your keywords on a new line like this:

Finally, scroll down and click “Create New Article” and Article Forge will generate five completely separate and unique articles for you all at once.

Article Forge is much different from an AI Writing Assistant, it’s a revolutionary advancement in technology that enables you to produce content at a rapid scale.

After your trial is over the paid plan is extremely affordable and offers great value for money at $29 a month.

By reading this article, you will learn an easy strategy for keyword research and arguably more importantly, you will learn how to use an AI content writer to scale your SEO content production exponentially.

Contents:

KWFinder Keyword Research, Step by Step

Step 1: Create Your Free KWFinder Account

First, go to the KWFinder homepage and click on the blue button in the top right-hand corner.

Once you have clicked on the button to start your free trial, you will be directed to create an account.

Creating an account is completely free, just enter your email and choose a password. As soon as you verify your email, you will be ready to go.

Step 2: Choose Your Seed Keyword

Mangools also offers other really useful SEO tools including backlink analysis, SERP analysis, and rank tracking. You will have access to these tools during your free trial and are included as part of the $29 monthly subscription.

This guide focuses only on using the KWFinder tool to generate long-tail keyword ideas. So, hover over “SEO Tools” and then navigate to KWFinder. Once you select that, you will be taken to the screen below.

This is where you can enter your seed keyword – for this guide, we will create content in the fitness niche. Therefore we have decided to use the seed keyword “best gym equipment”.

Once you have entered your seed keyword, click “Find Keywords” and KWFinder will begin to generate a list of related keywords.

Step 3: Analyze Your Keyword Report

After clicking “Find Keywords”, your report will be generated automatically. Here you will find a list of related keywords including some significant metrics you need to be aware of:

You can ignore the PPC (pay-per-click) metrics, as they measure the level of competition that exists for paid advertisers, not organic content.

Because you will create SEO content that is designed to rank well in search engines organically, you don’t need to worry about PPC here.

Search Volume

The “Search” metric is the average monthly search volume. Essentially this is the number of people who search for that exact keyword each month (and does not include the search volume for other variations of this keyword).

For example, the phrase “best gym equipment” gets 900 searches every month. This doesn’t include keyword variations like “what’s the best gym equipment?” and “best gym equipment to get abs”.

This is why you shouldn’t focus too much on choosing high-volume keywords, as creating good SEO content always ranks for lots of similar keyword variations.

Keyword Difficulty (KD)

Keyword Difficulty is a really useful metric that enables you to see precisely how easy, or difficult, it will be to rank on the first page for any keyword.

KWFinder measures Keyword Difficulty (KD) in the same way as the majority of similar SEO tools: on a scale of 0-100 with 100 being the most competitive.

New websites should focus exclusively on creating SEO content for keywords with a KD score below 25. More established websites that already have built up some level of authority have a lot more freedom with what keywords they can target.

You should aim to pick keywords with a difficulty score that is within, or below, your means.

This means if you have a Domain Authority (DA) above 40 you are perfectly capable of ranking for keywords with a KD score up to 40. As a general rule of thumb, we suggest choosing keywords with a KD score that is equal to or less than your DR, as this will give you the best chance of ranking quickly.

You can check your domains’ DR for free here.

Does Domain Rating/Authority Matter?

We have a DR of 70+. In theory, this means our website is authoritative enough to rank well for almost all the keywords listed above.

However, in reality, we don’t have a fitness company or blog, and Article Forge has nothing to do with gym equipment. So, search engines wouldn’t treat us as an authoritative website when it comes to providing advice on the best gym equipment.

That’s why it’s so crucial to consistently create SEO content around keywords that fit the goals of your website and build authority in a specific area.

The truth is that Domain Rating is not the only factor in how well you will rank in search engines. Domain authority is actually a metric that was created by SEO powerhouse, Moz. Its purpose is to provide an estimate of how well a given website will rank based on its backlink profile.

But the truth is Google’s ranking algorithms are significantly more complicated than any one factor. Google puts billions of dollars into deciding which websites should rank for every single keyword at any given time.

Hubspot noted that there are over 200 ranking factors considered when ranking a website for a given keyword. Beyond this, Google is using increasingly sophisticated machine learning models to determine what to rank and when.

Given all this, topic relevancy and expertise are two of the most vital factors when it comes down to creating content.

Focus on choosing good keyword opportunities that fit your niche (e.g. best gym equipment if you are in the fitness space), and creating relevant SEO content at scale. SEO is a numbers game and if you consistently publish quality content around keywords within your niche, you will see traffic and rankings naturally increase over time.

SERP Overview

SERP stands for Search Engine Results Page and this part of the report provides information about the websites that are already ranking for our chosen keyword.

If you are not familiar with these metrics, LPS means “Link Profile Strength”. This examines the quality of backlinks pointing at a page. The higher the LPS score, the more difficult it is for a new page to rank.

As you will see in the screenshot, the websites that are currently ranking in the first four spots have an extremely high DA. That’s because these are all very authoritative websites that have been around for a long time.

Perhaps most importantly, there are a lot of links pointing toward these sites’ pages.

Can you even imagine how long it would take to build 5,000 links to a single blog post?

When analyzing the SERP Overview, you should always look at the authority of the page and its link profile. This will give you a good idea about whether you should try to compete for a keyword or not.

Top Tip:

If you see a domain on the first page with a DA that is similar to or lower than your own and there aren’t a lot of links directly pointing to that post, then chances are your high-quality SEO content will outrank them.

It may take several months, but a website with very few links and a lower DA than your own website signals a great ranking opportunity!

Cost Per Click (CPC)

CPC or cost-per-click is the average amount of money that an advertiser needs to spend for their ad to show up above the organic search results in Google.

You might be thinking “I’m not an advertiser though so why does this matter?”. Well, CPC is a great way to understand the profitability of any given keyword.

Think of it like this:

If an advertiser is willing to pay over $3 just to have one potential customer click on their advert that should instantly tell you that the keyword has serious profit potential.

Take a look at the keyword “best squat rack” for example, this has a CPC of $2.76. However, when you realize that a single squat rack costs at least $1,000, this makes a lot of sense. Of course, advertisers are willing to pay more money for greater visibility on their high-ticket offers.

So what does this mean for you? It means that you should be actively targeting keywords with a high CPC and an achievable KW Difficulty.

Top Tip:

Creating quality SEO content around keywords with low organic difficulty in spaces where advertisers are willing to pay big bucks is a sure-fire way to grow your income through your content.

Step 4: Choose Your Keywords

Now that you understand each of the different metrics in KWFinder, identifying awesome keywords couldn’t be any easier.

We are going to continue to assume that your website has a DA of 40 – as we discussed earlier, this means that we will actively target keywords with a KD below 40.

To do this, first, filter your keyword list by KD with the lowest KD keywords first. You can do this by clicking on the arrows next to the KD filter.

Once your keywords are displayed in ascending order, it will be very straightforward to pick out good keyword opportunities.

By filtering out keywords that might be slightly too competitive for our DA 40 website, we now have a refined list of commercially valuable (profitable) keyword opportunities to generate content.

All six of these keywords would make good blog posts as they all have:

  • Solid CPC
  • High search volume
  • Manageable organic difficulty

We were instantly drawn to the keyword “best cardio machine for weight loss”. This is a very straight forward topic that we will be able to create highly relevant and quality content about.

We will now take a look at the SERP Overview to better understand the competition:

The first four results on Google provide us with some interesting data. Three very high authority websites are ranking for the keyword “best cardio machines for weight loss”.

However, the number 1 ranking article’s authority is significantly lower: 48. This definitely brings into question how much Domain Authority actually matters. Therefore, we decided to conduct some quick SERP analysis to find out why this is:

The answer to why the lower DA blog is outranking the much more authoritative websites is simple: search relevancy.

The second website that appears is a DA 52 website, and it has even managed to outrank and overtake the DA 92 website that appeared in the KWFinder SERP Overview.

To reiterate the answer for this is search relevancy. Google always aims to show the most helpful and relevant search results to users. Therefore, the two websites that created articles on the “best cardio machines for weight loss” are performing much better in the SERPs than the more authoritative websites that wrote about the “best cardio machines”.

So, the simple conclusion is that even as a DA 40 website, you have a very good chance of ranking in the top few spots for this keyword. You just need to generate relevant and SEO-driven content that is uber specific to the intent behind this search term.

Now, here comes the most enjoyable part of the process, automatically generating the content instead of spending hours writing it. How? By using an AI Article Generator that delivers scarily relevant and optimized SEO content.

Step 5: Automatically Generate Relevant Content With AI

Using an AI writer to generate SEO content automatically is a massive win for any business. As we mentioned before, SEO is a numbers game and by producing more content with AI, you will rank for more keywords, earn more traffic, and ultimately be much more profitable.

Luckily, using Article Forge takes less than 15 seconds of effort, and using these best practices takes out the guesswork of creating SEO content that is profitable.

Start on the New Article Page. This is where you will enter your target keyword, just like this:

That’s literally all you need to do. It’s that simple. Now, scroll down and click “Create New Article” and the AI Article Generator will begin to work its magic.

With just a single click, you will be able to generate 1,500+ words of optimized content, complete with section headings, automatically.

Optional Choose Your Own Section Headings

This step is entirely optional, but it’s a great way to maintain the maximum amount of control over your automated content.

You can enter anywhere between four and eight section headings. Typically, the more section headings you add in the longer your content will be, although this isn’t always the case.

To add in your headings, uncheck the “auto-generate section headings” box and enter the sub-topics you want to cover in your article. We have added five useful cardio machines where the user will burn a lot of calories quickly, and therefore lose weight.

Article Forge will now generate content for each one of these machines under a separate section heading. This is also a great way to structure and organize your content.

Let’s say you added in seven cardio machines as your section headings you could then title your article as something like “7 Best Cardio Machines For Rapid Weight Loss”.

Wrap Up

We hope that you have found this article valuable and that you now know how to conduct comprehensive keyword research through KWFinder and create SEO content automatically using Article Forge.

If you have any questions about Article Forge, performing keyword research, or any other SEO-related questions please don’t hesitate to reach out and we will be happy to help.

Happy Forging!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is KWFinder for?

KWFinder is a low-effort “plug and play” keyword research tool that doesn’t require significant knowledge of SEO. It is a cost-efficient tool that displays all the metrics that you need to consider as part of your wider SEO content strategy. Additionally, KWFinder can help you to analyze the financial opportunity of creating content on a given keyword.

What is KWFinder’s best feature?

The SERP overview is the best feature of KWFinder. It is an easy way to quickly spot opportunities where outranking the competition is not just possible, but probable too. As a new website, this will enable you to produce content about keywords that don’t require hundreds of backlinks to rank well for.

Ahrefs vs KWFinder, which should I use?

For performing simple and effective keyword research we recommend using KWFinder. The primary difference between these tools is the price, and KWFinder certainly offers solid value for money. On the other hand, when it comes to overall SEO Ahrefs is the superior tool because it can help you to identify link-building opportunities and conduct in-depth competitor analysis.

Answer The Public is a genuinely fascinating and visual keyword research tool. The tool displays phrases and questions that appear frequently in Google and Bing autocomplete in an easily understandable manner.

This makes it really easy for you to enter a seed keyword and find blog post ideas based on genuinely popular searches.

Additionally, Answer The Public was recently acquired by one of the leading keyword research companies: Ubersuggest. Ubersuggest was founded by keyword research guru Neil Patel and his acquisition of this tool demonstrates how valuable it is for anyone looking to improve their SEO.

By reading this post you will learn an actionable way to find hundreds of untapped keyword ideas in your niche. Then, we will show you how to use an AI content writer to create full articles with 15 seconds of work.

Contents:

How Does Answer The Public Work?

Answer The Public is structured quite differently than every other keyword research tool. Instead of showing you a table of “broad match” or “related” keywords, Answer the Public provides a massive visual display of all autocomplete options around your main keyword.

If you are not familiar with “autocomplete”, it is the smart “predictions” a search engine makes about what it thinks you are looking for. For example, if you start typing “cool facts” into Google – you will see this.

These are essentially the most popular and probable searches based on Google’s huge search behavior database. When conducting keyword research, using autocomplete suggestions helps you to find surface-level content ideas, but with Answer The Public you will be able to take this much further.

When you enter your seed keyword into Answer The Public, various auto-complete suggestions will be compiled into a giant search cloud that you can utilize to find keyword ideas.

Now that we’ve covered how Answer the Public works in general, we are going to show you exactly how you can use it to find enough content topics to fill out your entire SEO strategy.

Using Answer The Public, Step-By-Step

Step 1: Learn & Explore Answer The Public

First, you will need to navigate to this page

You will see that there are different use cases for Answer The Public, whether that’s doing keyword research for blog post ideas or conducting consumer research prior to a product launch.

Step 2: Enter Your Seed Keyword

Now that you understand how Answer The Public works, it’s time to take your seed keyword (your starting point) and generate lots of blog post ideas.

We recommend only entering 1-2 words as a seed keyword – this consistently delivers the best results.

For this example, we are going to enter the seed keyword “best TV”.

Some other good keywords in this niche could include:

  • Best laptop
  • Best speaker
  • Best camera
  • Smart home
  • Light fixtures

All you have to do now is click “Search” and we will be flooded with lots of content inspiration ideas that we can explore.

Step 3: Discover Untapped Keywords

After entering the seed keyword, “best TV” (or similar) into Answer The Public, you will quickly realize just how comprehensive and visual this tool really is.

The report has produced 382 results that are broken down into five main categories:

  • Questions
  • Prepositions
  • Comparisons
  • Alphabetical
  • Related

In truth, all of these categories can be helpful within our keyword research. Below, we will explore the most important three categories and explain how you can use the data for your keyword research.

Questions

Your Answer The Public report will also have sub-categories, this is useful if you want to prioritize certain content types: what, how, can, when, who, why, which, will, where, and are. As you will see there are lots of variations between the questions.

Regardless of the differences, these questions always have the same end goal in mind: answering popular questions that real human beings are asking.

Your goal is to include these questions within your blog posts to provide a sense of expertise to your readers, and to directly answer their questions. This will help you to establish brand credibility that will translate into your ability to sell your products or services.

Prepositions

Just like the questions, Answer The Public breaks down prepositions into sub-categories. These are: for, can, with, without, near, to, and is.

Prepositions are our absolute favorite part of Answer The Public. Look at the long-tail keyword suggestions here, you can create entire articles for each of these keywords. Additionally, you will notice that there are 56 prepositions to choose from here.

This means you can create plenty of content around different aspects of “best TV” to rank for more keywords and boost your site’s authority!

Here is what to do:

  • Add all of the preposition keywords you like to a list (we like adding them to a Google Sheet).
  • Rank them in order of most to least priority.
  • Add the highest priority articles to your content calendar and add a column for the “post date”

This way you can batch-produce blog posts weeks (and even months) in advance!

Comparisons

Comparison operators are great for creating content that has commercial intent. Simply, these keywords have significant profit potential, so you should try and target them occasionally. A good rule of thumb is 10-20% of blog posts.

These keywords are usually much more specific and far less competitive than the very generalized keywords in your niche such as “best tvs” and “best laptops”.

One of the best things about these comparison keywords is the potential to make double sales as a result of producing high-quality and persuasive blog posts.

For example, the keyword “best tv and soundbar combo” gives you a unique position. By targeting a less competitive search term and publishing persuasive marketing content for the products you want to sell, you can corner the market for these searches.

Step 4: Choosing Long-Tail Keywords

Now that you understand the main types of data visualizations that appear in a search of Answer The Public, it’s time to choose several keywords that you like. Add these keywords to your notebook or Google sheet so you don’t have to conduct multiple keyword research sessions.

We recommend making an extensive list of keywords, as well as several questions to add more informational value to your content. We always like to start with the keywords and then we can find questions related to the keywords after.

For our primary keywords, we wanted to pick topics that have commercial value and will have a serious ROI for our business. SEO is a numbers game, so we should aim to create content at scale. In most cases, building a list of 20 or more keywords will allow you to easily identify the topics you want to create full blog posts around. Here is the beginning of a list of commercial keywords that we can use:

  1. Best TV and Soundbar Combo
  2. Best TV for Bright Room
  3. Best TV Without an Ariel
  4. Best TV for Wall Mounting

These are all keywords that will lead to articles that will directly address people who are deep into the buying cycle and are ready to purchase a TV that suits their needs.

This means that the potential customer will have already eliminated several options, thus it’s now your responsibility to produce content that is informational, persuasive, and ultimately transactional.

Step 5: Identifying Questions

The final step before we get to automating content production is to select some questions from your Answer The Public report. Answering these highly relevant questions is a great idea because they can help you to show up within featured snippets and “related queries” sections.

Simply, this means you will rank higher, attract more eyeballs to your content, increase your readership, build brand credibility, and most importantly increase your profitability.

Let’s take another look at the questions in our Answer The Public report. Here is your opportunity to identify questions that are relevant to the keywords you have selected.

We recommend just choosing 1-2 questions for each article. For this example, we will choose questions for the article focused on the keyword “Best TV for Wall Mounting”.

After examining the data visualization table, we have decided to go with

“Who is the best TV provider?”. Given the many good options,, we decided to answer the question “How to wall mount a TV?” due to the specific focus of our keyword.

Providing short and concise answers to these questions will be a great way for us to produce blog posts that are both informational and will likely lead to more sales.

Generating Blog Posts Automatically With Article Forge

Traditionally, the most tedious and time-consuming part of creating content is writing. After conducting all of your keyword research, you would normally have to sit down for several hours and actually write your article, or spend hours and hundreds of dollars finding, vetting, and hiring writers.

However, with an AI Article Writer like Article Forge, this is not the case. By entering your keyword (from above) and clicking a single button, Article Forge will automatically generate entire unique and high-quality articles. You can easily tweak any content right in Article Forge, or you can even have Article Forge automatically publish your content to your WordPress blog.

We will quickly show you exactly how you can do this in just a couple of minutes.

How To Use Article Forge

Article Forge is the easiest AI content writer to use. While many other tools focus on helping you to write, Article Forge generates entire blog posts for you. Simply, this means you can create content with less than 15 seconds of work.

Firstly, head over to the New Article Page. You will then simply have to enter your primary keyword where prompted, choose your article length, and leave the rest of the toggles at their default settings. That’s it!

Simply scroll down and click “Create New Article” and Article Forge will spring to life and begin to generate SEO-optimized, unique, and relevant content for your website. It’s really that easy!

Optimizing Your Section Headings (Optional)

This step is completely optional so feel free to skip it if you’d prefer. However, to maintain maximum direction and control over your article, we suggest selecting your own section headings.

This might take an extra minute of research, however, it will enable you to give Article Forge an “outline” to write from. You might want to do this if you have a specific list of points or items that you want to make sure Article Forge writes about. Otherwise, Article Forge will just pick topics it (and Google) thinks are relevant to your main keyword. .

As you can see we have identified four wall-mounted TVs that we want to review and effectively promote within our article.

By adding these TV models as section headings, Article Forge will generate content on these specific models. This is a very effective strategy if you are looking to sell a specific product through your website. Also, make sure you put the product that you want to sell as #1 on your list, as this will typically receive the most clicks!

Fill Up That Content Calendar

Earlier in the article, we mentioned that a good use case for Answer The Public is identifying multiple relevant keywords, and now you will see why.

Firstly, come to the New Article Page as before. Then click, “Switch To Bulk Article Generator”.

This time all you will have to do is enter all your keywords on separate lines. This will ensure that each keyword leads to a whole separate article.

Yes, that’s right. By just entering multiple long-tail keywords into the Bulk Article Generator, Article Forge will be able to produce a separate, relevant, and unique article for each.

By using this method, you can produce all your blog posts for a month, two months, or even six months in advance. This means keyword research will not become an ongoing task, but something you do occasionally to help you batch produce content.

More importantly, you will be able to spend more time focusing on other parts of your business, enabling you to be more and more productive.

Another good use-case of the Bulk Article Generator is answering the frequently searched questions that we have previously identified in Answer The Public.

As before, enter your questions into the Bulk Article Generator on individual lines. This time ensure you set the length to 50 words, or if you feel like they are major topics set the output length to 250 words.

Just like that you will be able to automatically generate short and concise responses to popular questions from potential customers. This means that you will be solving their problems, and helping them to establish trust and rapport with your brand!

Wrap Up

Today we have given you a step-by-step strategy that simplifies keyword research and content creation. By using Answer the Public and Article Forge as part of your SEO content strategy you will be able to find unique keyword opportunities and create optimized blog posts with a single click.

We hope that you have enjoyed this article and if you have any questions about conducting keyword research with Answer The Public or automatically generating content with Article Forge don’t hesitate to reach out as we are always happy to help.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why should you use Answer the Public?

The most significant benefit of Answer The Public is the data visualizations. The way that content ideas are structured in an Answer The Public report is easy to understand, as a result, finding awesome and obscure long-tail keyword ideas is pretty straightforward. By producing content on the various question types related to a keyword achieving topical dominance and establishing authority is much easier.

Is Answer the Public free?

Answer The Public does have limited free functionality. With Answer The Public you can make three free searches a day. To upgrade to unlimited searches, the price is $79 a month (if paid annually), or $99 on a monthly basis. Currently, Answer The Public is also offering 50% off Ubersuggest for the first month.

Was Answer the Public acquired?

Yes. Answer The Public has been acquired by Ubersuggest as of May 31st, 2022. It’s speculated that the move made by Neil Patel to acquire Answer The Public was a relatively painless acquisition. Ubersuggest will benefit from reaching a wider audience and being able to improve its overall service offerings. By providing additional value for its users it is likely that we will see an increase in Ubersuggest subscription prices.

How did Ubersuggest acquire Answer the Public?

Although the exact terms of the deal were not disclosed in the public domain it is our opinion that the deal was somewhat of a bargain for Ubersuggest. Answer The Public has been following a downward trend in terms of popularity, so it’s likely that they were more than happy to sell out. As a result of the acquisition, Ubersuggest will be able to implement the keyword visualizations that made Answer The Public such a great tool.

Semrush is one of the most famous keyword research tools on the market and is utilized by many SEO content writing services. It’s no secret that Semrush offers its users an enormous database of over 20 billion keywords. The tool also provides amazing market insights that can help you to grow your brand into a major competitive force.

With all that said, Semrush has a price tag that reflects its size. With their cheapest plan starting at $119.95, we needed to find a way to make this tool more accessible.

For this reason, this guide will teach you how to use Semrush’s free keyword magic tool to identify topics that your target audience is searching for, and then create content that will make you money.

Contents:

Step-by-Step Keyword Research With Semrush

Step 1: Get Started in 30 Seconds

Start by navigating to the Semrush Keyword Magic Tool. This is the most straightforward place to start for conducting easy keyword research in Semrush.

Now click on “Sign Up” to create your free Semrush account. Don’t worry, all you need to enter is an email and a password and you can also easily opt-out of emails.

Simply enter your email and password and you’re good to go.

Step 2: Understanding the Keyword Magic Tool

When you first come to the Semrush keyword magic tool interface, you will quickly understand why everyone involved in SEO content writing is raving about Semrush.

The free Semrush keyword research tool offers better keyword research filtering and a larger database than most competitors.

Semrush’s Keyword Magic Tool offers users the ability to quickly identify:

  • Keyword intent
  • Keyword difficulty
  • Search volume
  • Commercial potential

Additionally, you can easily filter keywords and questions quickly to exclude keywords that don’t meet your SEO content criteria.

Step 3: Identifying and Understanding Search Intent

Put simply, intent is the goal behind the content you are creating. Understanding intent is vital for producing solid content that your readers love.

Anyone who is responsible for a content strategy needs to understand the different types of intent. Most SEOs agree that there are four primary types of content, these are:

  1. Informational
  2. Navigational
  3. Transactional
  4. Commercial

These may seem self-explanatory, however, there are a few subtle, but important differences between each. The differences are vital to recognize if you want to be successful in implementing an SEO content strategy.

Informational Intent

Firstly, informational intent is the backbone of your brand. This is the content that attracts backlinks to your websites and helps you to establish E-A-T (expertise, authoritativeness, trustworthiness). All websites need to have at least some level of informational intent-based content to build brand credibility.

When a keyword has informational intent, it means that the people searching with this keyword are looking for informational content to learn more about the topic and gather information.

Navigational intent serves the purpose of helping users to find the exact information or website they are already looking for. For example, many users may enter “YT” rather than the URL “youtube.com” regardless of their search purpose is already pretty clear, they want to watch videos on YouTube.

When a keyword has navigational intent, it means that the people searching with this keyword are looking for a specific website.

Transactional Intent

Transactional intent is where a user is trying to complete a specific action, like purchasing a coffee machine or booking tickets to a basketball game. The words that accompany a user’s transactional search for “coffee machine” could be “buy” or “coupon” whereas for a basketball game this may be “book” or “reserve seats”.

When a keyword has navigational intent, it means that the people searching with this keyword are looking to purchase a specific product or service.

Commercial Intent

Commercial intent allows you to create content that communicates both your expertise and authority while helping you to influence purchase decisions. Often keywords with commercial intent are product-related and include terms like “best”, “review”, “vs.” and “cheap”. For example, “best budget laptop”.

When a keyword has commercial intent, it means that the people searching with this keyword are looking to compare products and potentially make a purchase.

When you understand intent, it’s easier to create content that matches user expectations. Semrush makes understanding intent even easier by including the search intent of every keyword. You can even filter your potential keywords by intent to identify the most profitable topics to produce content around.

Step 4: Using Broad Match Keywords

When it comes to finding new content ideas and interesting keyword ideas in Semrush. We always recommend that you use the “broad match” search filter.

Searching this way allows you to identify keyword variations that you might not have otherwise thought about. Broad match results are often long-tail keywords that are much more specific and can lead to highly targeted traffic.

By not strictly limiting yourself to exact and phrase match keywords you will find various keyword opportunities in your niche that your target audience will closely identify with – helping you to create content that drives engagement and sales.

You don’t have to, but we are looking for commercial-driven keywords so we have entered “best gym clothes” rather than just “gym clothes”. This will help us to identify keywords that have good profit potential.

We have opted for the keyword “best detergent for smelly gym clothes”. The Keyword Difficulty isn’t too high, there is clear commercial intent with a really high cost-per-click (this means advertisers are bidding to rank for this keyword), and the search volume is decent.

There are also 721 related keywords. This means that if you produce comprehensive and well-optimized content on this topic, you could potentially rank for hundreds of different variations (which means a lot more traffic).

Step 5: Finding Broad Match Questions to Win Snippets

The best way to create content that resonates and appeals to people is to serve your readers first. This means answering the questions your readers care about and not just constantly promoting new products in your niche.

Remember, people discover your content to help solve their own problems and answer their questions, they do not come to your website and think “I want to buy this company’s product”.

However, answering specific informational queries is a great way to rank higher in search engines, as a result bringing more relevant traffic to your website, establishing expertise. and ultimately increasing your conversion rates.

To do this we have a simple three-step strategy that you can copy to deliver better rankings and find new readers.

First, enter your seed keyword and select “Questions” and “Broad Match”, then set the maximum Keyword Difficulty (KD) to 40. Depending on the authority of your website, you can make this slightly higher or lower as necessary.

Next, select 2-4 questions that will be highly relevant to your post.

Say that we want to create a post on the “Best Material for Gym Clothes”.

This article will be great for making money because it has commercial intent – “best”. However, if we want to recommend products containing the specific materials we need to posistion ourselves as an authority on this topic.

To do this, we can use the questions that we have identified in Keyword Magic Tool.

We have selected:

  1. Can you use fabric softener on gym clothes?
  2. Can you tumble dry gym clothes?
  3. What to do with sweaty gym clothes?

Finally, you can automatically generate 50-word responses using Article Forge on each of these questions and add them to your post.

50 words, give or take, is the perfect word count for these responses because it will help you to compete (and win) the featured snippet on Google.

Winning featured snippets provides instant visibility and can help you appear on the first page even in highly competitive niches, and it’s much easier than you think. All you need to do to become a snippet pro is answer questions in an easy-to-understand and concise manner.

Take this snippet, for example. The snippet does a fairly decent job of answering the user’s search. However, it could definitely be more concise.

Winning this snippet will put you at the very top of Google meaning many more clicks to your website, and even if some users don’t click through this is a good thing because it means you have answered their question in enough detail. This is an amazing signal to any search engine and will lead to you continuously improving your rankings.

To find even more free and relevant questions to include in your content you can check out our keyword research guide using QuestionDB.

Generate Content Automatically with AI

Consistent and high-quality content is absolutely key for creating a profitable website. However, to do this you need to spend a lot of time perfecting your writing skills – well not anymore.

Article Forge is an AI article writer that allows you to enter a seed keyword, and with just a single click you can create articles over 1,500 words.

All you have to do is head over to the New Article Page within Article Forge and enter your seed keyword.

Then, select your ideal content length – we recommend 1,500+ words, as Google loves long-form content.

Then, scroll down and click “Create New Article” and just like that, Article Forge will begin to generate a completely unique article on your desired keyword in minutes.

Article Forge naturally includes optimal keywords, sub-topics, and section headings when writing each unique article to help your content both perform well in search engines and prove relevant to your readers.

Bulk Answer Semrush Questions Automatically

As we explained earlier, finding relevant questions for your content, and producing concise and explanatory answers is a fantastic way to win the featured snippet on Google.

Snippets should be about 50 words so you may be thinking, what’s the point of using Article Forge when it only takes 5-10 minutes to answer a question anyway?

Well, Article Forge’s  AI writer can help you answer all the questions that you identify in the Keyword Magic Tool in bulk. Saving 5-10 minutes per FAQ will quickly add up and will help you earn features snippets faster and more easily.

To get started, simply, go back to the New Article Page and click “Switch To Bulk Generator”.

Once you are in the Bulk Article Generator, enter your questions into the tool and select the article length as 50 words, you can also uncheck “Add Titles” as headings aren’t necessary for this.

Now, simply scroll down and click “Generate New Article” and once again Article Forge will take all the guesswork out of creating SEO-optimized and highly specific content around your chosen keywords.

Remember that Article Forge works based on the keyword that you provide, so we recommend checking out our Article Forge Best Practices in order to get the maximum potential out of the tool.

Final Thoughts

Semrush is often considered to be the best keyword research tool on the market and it may well be true. However, Semrush is a massive investment for most people, so we have created this guide as a free and actionable way to identify profitable keywords using a massive keyword database.

We have looked at how to identify and understand the search intent behind a keyword, how to identify rankability and commercial potential, how to find keyword related questions that can boost your authority, signal expertise, gain backlinks, and build brand visibility, and of course how to generate all of this content automatically.

Serpstat is a popular SEO content tool that you can utilize affordably (or even for free). Although it is a fairly new competitor in the SEO software industry, using Serpstat for keyword research is a solid strategy. This is because their SEO tools are continually updated and their keyword database is constantly expanding.

This article takes you through how to maximize Serpstat’s free features to conduct keyword research, step-by-step. Then, you will learn exactly how to produce high-quality content around those keywords with the click of a button using an AI article writer.

Contents:

Step-by-Step Keyword Research With Serpstat

Step 1: Create Your Free Serpstat Account

While you can use Serpstat for free, you will need to sign up and create an account. Start by navigating to the Serpstat home page.

After clicking “Sign Up” in the top right-hand corner, and you will see this screen:

Now just fill in your email, password, and optionally, phone number. Once you confirm your email, you will be ready to go.

Step 2: How to Use Serpstat

When you first access your Serpstat account, you may feel a bit overwhelmed by the various options, scores, and tables. However, we can assure you this is just about the easiest SEO content tool to understand.

When we first started using Serpstat, we were impressed with the aesthetics of the tool and how easy it was to generate content ideas.

The first page you land on is the Overview. Simply enter your seed keyword (or target phrase) into the search bar here – we selected “best IRA”.

This phrase doesn’t need to be a complicated idea or a long-tail keyword. In fact, it’s best to start with something broad, as this can help you to quickly understand the potential traffic, trends, commercial intent, and the competition.

In the sidebar, you will also see various options for “related keywords”, “search suggestions”, “search questions” “top pages” and “competitors” – if you didn’t think this SEO content tool could get any better, Serpstat also offers URL analysis, backlink analysis, and site audits.

However, we won’t get too carried away:this is an actionable guide to finding great keyword ideas and generating content automatically, not a full SEO walkthrough.

Step 3: Analyzing Your Keyword Overview

The first section of the keyword overview contains standard metrics for understanding the popularity and feasibility of your keyword.

These metrics are:

  • Volume: the average number of times this keyword is searched in a month
  • PPC Competition (pay-per-click): how competitive it is for advertisers to promote their products/services
  • CPC (cost-per-click) – how much advertisers are willing to pay for every click to their website
  • KW Difficulty: an estimation for how difficult it would be to rank organically on the first page in Google for this keyword.

All of these metrics are useful in their own way, however, don’t get stressed about deciding if producing blog posts on a topic is a good idea just from this data. The truth is that SEO is a numbers game. You will have some “hit” posts that perform really well and others that simply “miss” and fail to gain traction.

Therefore, you should aim to identify as many content ideas as possible from this strategy in order to fill out your content calendar weeks, or even months, in advance.

We recommend looking for keywords with some search volume and CPC over $1. However, finding these keywords can be tricky, especially if you have a less established website with minimal authority in your niche. Therefore, we recommend selecting low-volume keywords.

At first, choosing “low volume” keywords may seem like a bad idea as you may be concerned that you won’t receive a lot of traffic. However, your content will rank for many additional keyword variations as well as the primary keyword.

In general, KW Difficulty is a good way to gauge how quickly and how easily you will be able to rank well in search engines and receive significant traffic to your website.

However, one drawback of Serpstat is that we don’t find their KW Difficulty metric to be very accurate. Understanding keyword difficulty is an important step of keyword selection, so we will show you how to judge the ranking potential for your keywords with some light competitor analysis.

Step 4: Competitor Analysis

As part of your keyword research, looking at your competitors is vital to your success. Unfortunately, looking for your target keywords on each of your competitors websites manually would be very time-consuming. However, by using an SEO tool like Serpstat you can perform competitor analysis in a single click.

The truth is that the most profitable keywords are really difficult to rank for in organic search, particularly in very popular niches e.g. personal finance, tech, SEO, food, travel, and health.

The key is to find good keyword opportunities in your niche (decent volume and high CPC) that are not dominated by authoritative websites.

Luckily an SEO content tool like Serpstat makes this really easy. In your “keyword overview” you will be provided a list of the ten domains ranking for the keyword as well as an estimate of the total number of keywords these websites are ranking for.

This is really useful because it can help us to establish the authority and credibility of the websites that are already ranking and will help you to identify potential keyword opportunities.

In this case, some of the domains competing for the keyword “best IRA” include Forbes, Investopedia, and NerdWallet. If you are not familiar with the finance niche, you may not have heard of the latter two, but they are both massively established businesses. Therefore, despite the KW Difficulty being just 40, we know that this will be a really tough keyword to rank for.

Now that you properly understand the metrics that we’re looking for, as well as how to scan the competing domains, it’s time to find keyword opportunities that you can produce blog posts around.

We recommend taking a look at both the “Keyword Selection” and “Related Keywords” here. With Serpstat’s free SEO plan, your keyword options will be limited, but you will still be able to view several keyword variations.

After looking through various options and exploring the different keywords available, we decided that the competition surrounding the topics related to this particular keyword is too high.

This might be slightly annoying, but it’s better to go back and choose a topic with a higher probability of ranking than opting for the very first keyword idea you have.

As IRA accounts are very popular, we have decided to choose an alternative investment product – best annuities.

As you will see, a quick search for “best annuities” in Serpstat’s keyword research tool has revealed that annuity investments are a slightly less competitive area of interest. However, there is still a significant number of monthly searches.

After conducting competitor analysis and looking at related keywords, we have identified a long tail keyword that meets our keyword criteria. The keyword we have settled on is “best annuities for retirees”. When you are recreating this process, we recommend creating a longer list of keyword ideas so you can create multiple blog posts at a time to schedule throughout the month.

By targeting long-tail (more specific) keywords, and producing quality content, we will also rank for multiple keyword variations. Our example keyword also has a fairly high CPC which means that ranking on the first page will be very profitable.

Another step we recommend is checking out the search engine results page (SERPs) for your target keywords. Simply, enter the keywords you are hoping to rank for and take a look at the content that is already ranking on page 1.

As you can see, a lot of the results on the first page are posts from high authority websites, but in this case, there is a more important factor than authority:.

If you want to rank for a keyword like this, you need to satisfy search intent better than your competitors.

As you can see in the above example, plenty of the results on the first page are not specific. Although they are blog posts from websites with expertise and authority, they are not directly related to the keyword “best annuities for retirees”.

This shows there is a great opportunity for you to generate content that is highly specific to the target keyword.

We recommend trying to cover the topic more comprehensively than the content that is already ranking. This means creating content based on the annuities that are specifically designed for retirees, not just general annuity products.

Luckily, Article Forge can help you to create this content in a single click, and we will show you exactly how to do this.

Generate SEO-Optimized Blog Posts In a Single Click

To get started, head over to the New Article page within the Article Forge interface. Here you will see a screen that looks like this:

Article Forge was designed to be the quickest and easiest way to produce high-quality content. As you can see, the interface is extremely simple: the only required step is to enter the keyword you want Article Forge to write about and click “Create New Article”.

However, to give you more control over the content Article Forge writes, there are a few easy-to-use settings.

Customization

As mentioned above, the only setting that you need to “customize” is the Keyword – with a single keyword, Article Forge can generate an entire article. All other customizations are completely optional and can be left to their default settings if you don’t have more specific requirements.

For the purpose of this guide, we will walk through each setting (if you want to keep things simple and automated, you can skip down to Generating Content).

Keyword: Enter the keyword you want to create you want your content to be about. We have selected “best annuities for retirees”.

Article Length: You can choose to have Article Forge write approximately 50, 250, 500, 750, or 1,500+ words (we have had some keywords produce 1800 words in one go before).

The article length you choose should depend on your content goals. 50 or 250 words is great for answering a question e.g. are annuities better than a Roth IRA? 500/750 words is great for filling out entire sections of your articles and 1,500+ words is best for generating whole blog posts for your website.

For the purpose of this article, we have decided to show you how to generate a 1,500+ word blog post so you can really maximize the benefits of using an AI Article Generator

Add Section Headings: You can choose to have Article Forge automatically add relevant, SEO friendly section headings throughout your article. For 750-word articles and longer, this toggle will be set to “On” by default to give you the highest quality content with minimal interaction.

This lets you generate structured content with virtually no effort. Automatically including section headings is completely unique to Article Forge – generating automated content of this quality and scale is just not possible with other article writing software.

Section Heading Customization (Optional): You can also choose to enter your own section headings to tell Article Forge exactly what subtopics it should write about within the blog post. This is great if you already know the topic well and are just using Article Forge to save time.

Content Style: Finally, there are a number of style toggles that give your automatically generated content another level of personalization. You can add images, videos, and relevant external links by simply toggling these settings “on” – this is a great way to enhance your article.

Generating Content!

Once you have entered your keyword and decided on any customizations, your Article Forge interface will look like this:

All you need to do is scroll down and click “Create New Article”. Just like that, Article Forge will begin researching, planning and generating unique and optimized blog posts (or short form content) tailored to your preferences.

Now, simply sit back, and relax with the peace of mind that your article will be relevant, SEO optimized, and completely unique.

Final Thoughts

We hope that you have found this guide helpful and actionable. Repurposing an SEO content tool like Serpstat for conducting keyword research is a great way to gain insight within your niche, and find the keywords that you will be able to rank for more easily.

By using Serpstat, you will also be able to find profitable keyword opportunities that offer a fantastic ROI. Producing blog posts around these keywords can drive income to your business for years to come, and with Article Forge, the most time-consuming part of the process (writing) is almost completely removed.

If you have any further questions about the SEO, analysis, and research features of Serpstat, we will be happy to answer. Likewise, if you have questions regarding the best practices of using Article Forge, and how to get the best results from this AI writing tool, we are the best people to answer them.

Until next time – Happy Forging!

Moz has been one of the most reputable SEO companies since the early days of blogging and content marketing.

Former CEO, Rand Fishkin, took his inbound marketing/SEO brand, known back then as SEOmoz from being a small startup into a huge business generating $20m+ revenue in the early 2010s. Moz brought transparency into an industry that was largely undeveloped and undiscovered.

As new competitors entered the market, Moz’s market share decreased, but its platform became even more comprehensive. Now, one of Moz’s most useful SEO content tools is their Keyword Explorer which you can try out for free.

But, what exactly is Moz Keyword Explorer and why is this tool so popular?

Moz has a massive keyword database of 500 million discoverable keywords and even claims to be “the world’s most accurate keyword research tool”. Given their seasoned position in the market and their extensive, data-backed research tools, Moz is certainly worth trying out.

Specifically, we like Moz’s SEO content tool because it is fairly straightforward to use, the data is reliable, and it gives us great insight into the long-tail keywords we can rank for.

First, this article contains a step-by-step guide on how to use Moz Keyword Explorer.

Then, more importantly, this guide will show you how to use the keywords you find in Moz’s Keyword Explorer to generate high-quality SEO content automatically using AI.

Contents:

Step-by-Step Keyword Research With Moz’s SEO Content Tool

Step 1: Making a Free Account

Creating a free account in Moz is quick and doesn’t even require credit card details.

To get started, head to this page:

Once you have landed on this page, you can enter your chosen keyword – for the purposes of this guide, we have decided on “best perfume”. Once you have entered a relevant keyword, click “Search Keywords Now”.

You will then receive a pop-up that looks like this:

Don’t worry if you are an individual as you can just select “1” for “Company Size”. Additionally, your “SEO Proficiency” is just a metric that Moz tracks to understand how much guidance you may need, so feel free to choose anything here.

Finally, you will need to verify your email.

Once you confirm your email, you are automatically signed up for Moz’s SEO content tool. Now, it’s time to discover great keyword opportunities for your SEO content strategy.

Step 2: Understanding Moz’s Unique Keyword Features

Your Keyword Explorer interface will look like this:

Unfortunately, some features are locked and the only way to access them is to pay for Moz. They do offer a 30-day free trial, but after that Moz will cost you a minimum of $99 a month.

Moz is a good investment in your business, but to make this guide accessible for everyone, we are showing you how to conduct keyword research using only your free account.

We will start off by explaining the metrics in simple terms so that you can understand the data of every keyword you find.

Monthly Volume

The monthly volume metric within “Keyword Overview” indicates the average number of searches for your chosen keyword in a month. Moz takes the average monthly search volume across the last 12 months. This helps to prevent “outlier” months from skewing the data.

We don’t recommend that you get too “bogged down” on this metric as volume metrics never equate to the amount of traffic you can realistically expect to attract. Even by producing content around keywords that have low “Monthly Volume”, you can rank for many organic keyword variations and build significant traffic.

This is done by creating long-form content that covers a topic in-depth and matches user search intent. We will show you exactly how to generate content like this automatically later in the post.

Difficulty

Like the majority of reputable keyword research tools, Moz calculates a Keyword Difficulty (KD) score for each of the keywords in its database.

This score is reflected by a value from 1-100, with 100 being “ultra-competitive” and 1 being “easy”. Keep in mind that difficulty scores are not an exact science, the relevancy of your content and overall website, as well as your backlink profile, play a significant role.

With that said, trying to rank for keywords with a score over 50 will be a more difficult and time consuming process than targeting more keyword variations with lower difficulty.

Organic CTR

As a content creator, Organic Click-Through-Rate (CTR) is extremely important to you. This is a neat feature within Moz’s Keyword Explorer, as it displays the number of keyword searches that lead to an organic result.

In other words, this is the percentage of people who are clicking on blog posts and articles in the Search Engine Results Page (SERPs).

When the Organic CTR is 100% this means that people are exclusively clicking on organic results – this can occur when there are no ads, no image packs, and no featured snippets being displayed.

When you create content you will ideally be targeting keywords with commercial interest. This can help you win customers and earn an income that doesn’t just come from using programmatic advertising.

However, this does mean you will be creating a lot of list posts, and review style content, as a result, you will be competing against brands and advertisers. For this reason, we like to pick keywords with a really Organic CTR (between 80-100%) as long as commercial interest exists.

This way if we do start ranking for a keyword, our organic content will perform well and won’t be sabotaged by factors outside of our control e.g. paid ads.

Priority

Moz describes their priority score metric as a “cheat code”. We have found from our research of Moz’s priority score that there is a strong correlation between content that performs well and the assigned priority score.

Effectively, the higher the better when it comes to this metric. “Priority” can help you strike a good balance between keyword difficulty, organic CTR, and monthly volume. If you are using the paid version of Moz, you can create extensive keyword lists and sort by priority to find the best opportunities.

However, even with a free MOZ account, you can take the “Priority” score as the most important metric as it effectively combines all the other data.

The only caveat to this is that low-volume keywords may be given lower priority scores than they deserve. So, if the priority of a keyword seems lower than it should be, see if “low search volume” might be bringing down the score.

Step 3: Finding Keywords With an SEO Content Tool

The method we use to find great keyword opportunities within Moz Keyword Explorer is by looking at the “Keyword Suggestions”.

Once you click on “Keyword Suggestions” you will be greeted by this screen:

Here, you can filter your keywords by relevancy or monthly volume. We recommend sorting your keyword list by “Relevancy” because (as we already discussed) volume is not the best indicator of an article’s potential success.

By scrolling through the keyword list, you will be able to identify hundreds of keyword ideas related to the seed keyword that you have entered.

One of the keywords that we have identified through our “Keyword Suggestions” research list is “best mens cologne of all time”.

You will see that the “Organic CTR” and “Monthly Volume” metrics are fairly high, the priority score is solid, however, the KD is quite high.

While we will not choose this keyword right now, this may be a good keyword to target in the future. So, we recommend creating a Google Doc and making a note of any keywords you might want to target later.

Another keyword that we discovered with a slightly lower KD was “Best Tom Ford Perfume”. The priority score was slightly lower, but this has most likely been slightly skewed by the lower “Monthly Volume” which we know isn’t a major concern.

Both of these keywords will provide a good opportunity to rank well on Google as long as we produce high-quality, unique, long-form content.

Normally, this is where SEO content tools stop providing useful information. In the best case, they help you discover which keywords to write about but then leave you to do all the time consuming and expensive content work on your own.

Luckily, Article Forge was built to take on all the heavy lifting of producing high-quality long form SEO content for you.

Generating Entire Articles For Your Keywords with AI

Once you have identified keywords in Moz Keyword Explorer, your manual work is virtually over.

As you know, writing blog posts and long form articles can be the most time-consuming and manual part of any content strategy. Even using an AI writing assistant can still take hours. But when using Article Forge, less than 15 seconds of effort will give 1,500+ word articles.

Setting Up Your Articles

To get started, simply navigate to the New Article page.

Here you will enter the keyword you want to rank for. We are generating an article on the “Best Tom Ford Perfume”. However, if you want to generate a more informational article, you could enter something like “how to choose a cologne”.

We also recommend setting your article length to 1,500 words to get the most comprehensive content for this keyword.

Note: Article Forge will automatically generate relevant section headings throughout longer articles to create well-structured, organized long form content. You do not have to change any settings to take advantage of this feature, but you can choose to enter your own section headings for more control over what Article Forge writes about.

Then, scroll down and simply click “Create New Article”.

That’s it, Article Forge will start generating completely unique, SEO optimized content that you can use on your website.

Filling Out Your Content Calendar

If you thought that Article Forge couldn’t get any better, you’d be mistaken. With the Bulk Article Generator tool, you can create content for multiple different keywords that you identify as part of your keyword research simultaneously.

You can come back to the New Article page to do this and then select “Switch to Bulk Article Generator”.

The Bulk Article Generator will allow you to generate all of your content at once. This is an excellent strategy for people who are looking to increase their niche coverage (and authority) and fill out their content calendar ahead of time.

With the Bulk Article Generator, you can enter all your keywords at once. This is the most efficient way to fill out your content calendar; you can even generate a whole month’s worth of content at once!

Just make sure to enter each new keyword on a new line, just like this:

The Bulk Article Generator is completely unique to Article Forge and it’s the fastest way to create content.

Even if your content quality standards mean that you have to lightly edit the articles, you can be assured these unique automatically generated articles will mean you’re ready to hit “publish” faster every time.

If you have any questions about Moz’s SEO content tool, Keyword Explorer, we would love to hear them and as ever we are always on hand to answer any Article Forge related questions!

SpyFu is a comprehensive SEO tool that offers competitor keyword analysis, SERP analysis, a backlink opportunity finder, related keywords, and of course detailed keyword research.

But to keep this article focused and actionable, we will only cover the keyword research element of SpyFu and how to find untapped content ideas to exploit. We will break down SpyFu’s keyword research process for you, then show you how to automatically produce optimized content that is built to rank well on search engines.

Contents:

Step-by-Step Keyword Research With SpyFu

Step 1: Make a SpyFu Account

Don’t be alarmed, you can create an account without entering any payment details.

All you have to do is start at SpyFu. First, you will be prompted to “Enter a Domain, URL, or Keyword” – write anything you want and click search.

Then, you will be presented with this screen:

From here, click, “Sign Up Free” and enter your email and a chosen password. (Or, if you already have an account, you can skip to the Spyfu login).

You will be asked a few simple questions such as “Do you work for an agency?” before you are granted access to all the free features of SpyFu. This won’t give you full functionality, but it’s all you need to conduct solid keyword research.

Even though SpyFu keyword research is free, you can easily use an alternative if you don’t want to create another tool account. We like Soovle because it’s an easy way to generate unlimited keyword ideas with no sign-up.

Step 2: Choose a General Keyword

Choosing a broad keyword gives you plenty of room to find many good article topics for your content calendar!

If you start with a keyword that is too specific, you will find very few new content ideas – the problem with starting too specific is you aren’t really “researching”, you’re just looking at terms related to a topic idea you already had.

We call this “keyword research bias” and it harms your ability to find the best keyword opportunities in your niche.

Instead, start with a general search term. This can still be a long-tail keyword, but it needs to be a topic that can be broken down further. That way, you will have many content topics to help fill out your blog instead of needing to repeat this process one keyword at a time.

We have decided on “best dog food”. We already know that this keyword has major commercial intent and a quick scan of the SERPs indicates high authority websites dominate the first page. Nevertheless, this will be our seed keyword to start out with.

As we suspected, this keyword has a large number of estimated monthly clicks. However, it is also very competitive, so it isn’t going to be the topic of our article.

Instead, we are going to look for longer-tail keywords that are more specific, have lower search volume, and will be easier to rank for.

Step 3: Down The Rabbit Hole Method

To give you a completely free keyword research method, we have to take a bit more of a long-winded approach. If you have a paid SpyFu account you can simply look through the 24,121 “similar keywords”. If not, don’t worry, we are about to go “down the rabbit hole”.

First, choose at least of the keywords in the list. We are only going to walk through one (“best dry dog food”), but you should select as many as you can to create a full list of keywords to cover.

Now, you can see that we have successfully “niched down” – the estimated searches and clicks have decreased and there are far fewer similar keywords.

The best part about this strategy is that you have unlimited free searches in SpyFu. So, although you can’t view all the similar keywords at once, you can pick away at keywords to find the best opportunities to fill out your list.

Keyword Difficulty

If you have read other keyword research guides, you might be surprised that we haven’t mentioned keyword difficulty yet – after all this is a valuable metric that gives us insight into the ranking potential, or “rankability” of a keyword.

The truth is that the difficulty metrics SpyFu reports for keywords just aren’t very accurate for SEO – their metrics are designed for paid ads. This may sound like a major issue, but we are going to use the Ahrefs Free Keyword Generator (again, no account needed) to get a better understanding of the keyword’s true organic difficulty.

The keyword “best dry dog food” has a KD (keyword difficulty) score of 40. This isn’t too high and is definitely rankable. However, we are going to select a keyword with a difficulty score below 30 because this increases our chances of ranking. Choosing low-difficulty keywords and creating content at scale will help you to rank more frequently, and increase overall website traffic.

Deciding On Our Keyword

In both of our screenshots, you will notice the keyword “best dry dog food for small dogs” and this keyword meets all of our criteria: Long-Tail Keyword, Low Difficulty Score, Decent Search Volume.

As you will see by going “down a rabbit hole” we have successfully identified a rankable content idea for our blog post. This strategy also doesn’t require deep knowledge of keyword research or SEO to use successfully. So using SpyFu is a good way to improve your SEO content strategy regardless of your experience.

This step is entirely optional, but you can make a list of 4-8 types/brands of dry dog food for small dogs. This will probably look something like this:

  1. Blue Buffalo Life Protection
  2. Nutro Wholesome Essentials
  3. Hill’s Diet Prescription
  4. Nutro Natural Choice
  5. Earthborn Holistic Coastal Catch

Generate Content Automatically

Now that you have identified at least one primary keyword (hopefully many more), it’s time to convert your ideas into high-quality content. Often, this is the most time-consuming part of the content production process, but Article Forge makes generating content entirely effortless.

Here is how to create long-form content in Article Forge:

Step 1: Create Your Content

Unlike traditional blog post writing guides, this walk-through of how to use Article Forge is only one single step.

First, navigate to the New Article section of Article Forge. This is where you will enter each of your chosen keywords, just like this:

Article Forge is capable of generating content that is 1,500+ words so you can effortlessly create comprehensive blog posts on any topic. Once you set your article length and optionally customize your article further, scroll down and click “Create New Article”.

That’s it. You enter one keyword and click one button and Article Forge gives you an article that is highly relevant to your keyword and completely unique. Article Forge doesn’t just “edit” or “spin” existing content, every article is created entirely from scratch – the only difference is that you don’t need to spend hours writing!

Optional Customization: Select Your Own Headings

For most people, having the ability to create unique articles from scratch is more than enough, but Article Forge goes one step further.

With Article Forge you can completely customize all of your section headings in order for you to create a piece of content that is entirely personalized for you.

This step is entirely optional and in no way is a requirement of using Article Forge. However, we absolutely love this feature, and no other AI writing tool on the planet offers this level of customization.

To follow this step you will need a list of related products (like our list in the optional step earlier). This should be as simple as one Google search.

Once you have created your list, simply uncheck the “auto-generate section headings” box and enter your products in the section headings boxes like this:

These products will act as the section headings of your article. This will help you to create content automatically based on a very specific set of requirements, so this will be ideal if you already have a strong idea of what you want your content to include!

For more information on how to get the best results possible from Article Forge, check out our easy-to-follow list of article generation best practices!

Final Thoughts

Whether you decide to use Article Forge’s automatic and SEO optimized section headings, or you want to pick your own, Article Forge is the ideal solution for your SEO content strategy. Creating full articles at scale is made possible by the AI that powers Article Forge!

More importantly, you can use this process to find enough keyword ideas to create and publish content consistently while adding virtually none of the work normally associated with scaling.

If you want to learn more about how Article Forge works, feel free to get in touch. Also, if you would like us to create a guide about how to use the SpyFu paid version, please let us know.

Otherwise, we will be happy to answer any questions that you have about SpyFu, Ahrefs, or any other keyword tool you’d like to use as part of your keyword research strategy.

Happy Forging!

Once on the home page, you will see the prompt to “Enter Seed Keyword”. Sometimes, people “niche down” too early and pick a very specific keyword such as “best places to go hiking in Maryland” – this isn’t the point of a seed keyword.

Your seed keyword should be a broad “starting point”. The purpose of Wordtracker is to identify the best long-tail keyword opportunities, so if you start too specific, Wordtracker will not be able to find great topic ideas for you.

In this guide, we are going to use “best sunglasses” as our topic because it is clear, broad, and can easily be broken down into longer tail keywords.

Step 3: Filtering Wordtracker Keywords

The Wordtracker interface offers graphs, toggles, buttons, and drop down menus, which may seem confusing at first. But, we will show you how each filter fits together to help you fully understand what you see on screen.

SEO, PPC, and GSC

If you are unfamiliar with these acronyms, they stand for: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) and Google Search Console (GSC).

This is a content guide, not a paid search guide, so our focus will be on “SEO”. So, make sure this option is selected.

The “Google Search Console” option is helpful too because it allows you to get access to data straight from Google e.g. clicks, impressions, and click through rate (CTR). However, this option is only available in the paid plans!

Location

Search is often location-specific which means where your audience is located can have a great impact on the keywords you should target.

Simply, what is popular in the United States may not be nearly as popular in Europe.

Understanding where your audience is from is essential, we recommend checking out our Keyword Research with Google Trends Guide to better understand this topic.

To get a better sense of what your target audience is searching for, choose the “Territory” you want to take a closer look at!

If you are unsure where your audience is located we recommend just selecting ”United States” because this is where a huge number of online searches originate.

Step 4: Making Sense of Wordtracker Keyword Metrics

Once you have entered your seed keyword into Wordtracker, toggled “SEO”, and filtered your location, you will be presented with a list of long-tail keywords and four useful metrics..

We have just included the first four keywords on our list to break down the metrics for you.

Search Volume

Essentially, Search Volume is the number of times the exact keyword was searched over the last 12 months. You shouldn’t worry too much about volume though, as long as there is some activity around a keyword you should be good to go in this department.

Competition

The “Comp.” metric within Wordtracker estimates how difficult it would be to rank organically for the given keyword. To calculate this, Wordtracker assesses the authority and expertise of the websites that are already ranking, the number of websites ranking, and the “importance” of the topic.

For example, a keyword that might have a major implication like “how to prevent a heart attack” will be much harder to rank for than “best beige trousers”.

When assessing this metric, the lower the better, especially if your website is fairly new and unestablished.

IAAT

This is Wordtracker’s most interesting metric. IAAT is not commonly found in other SEO tools, at least not in such an easy-to-understand way.

IAAT stands for “In Anchor and Title”. This represents the number of webpages that contain the exact keyword in both the title tag and the anchor text of a backlink. We can’t stress enough how useful this data is: it helps to put the true competitiveness of a keyword into perspective.

For example, the seed keyword we entered has an IAAT score of 563. This means that 563 webpages are already effectively trying to compete for this keyword. So, unless you have extremely high domain authority, you should probably stay away from a keyword this popular and opt for a keyword with a lower IAAT score.

Historical Data

On first inspection, the historical data may seem like a simple graph of popularity over the previous 12 months.

As you can see the searches dip over the winter (when sunglasses are not typically worn) and peak in the summer months (when everyone wears sunglasses).

However, if you think this is the extent of the historical data, you would be incorrect.

If you click on a graph it will offer a much more in-depth overview to help you understand trends related to that keyword.

The “Keyword Overview” will show you the websites that are currently competing for the given keyword. You will notice that huge websites like GQ magazine, Wired, TripSavvy, and NBC are all competing for the keyword “best sunglasses”. You will also see the number of backlinks and referring domains pointing at the URL as well as an overall difficulty score.

This metric gives you a great insight into your keywords and gives you a good idea of the overall possibility of ranking on the first page.

Step 5: Choosing Your Keywords

Building hundreds of backlinks to each post is unrealistic and unsustainable, so the idea behind finding profitable long-tail keywords in Wordtracker is to identify “untapped” blog post ideas.

We have identified “best sunglasses for running” because it has decent search volume, a low IAAT, and Comp score, and there are plenty of websites already ranking with a low number of referring domains and backlinks.

Now it’s time for our favorite part of the content production process, turning our keyword into long-form blog posts automatically using Article Forge. The process we are about to demonstrate can help you to create multiple blog posts in virtually no time at all.

How to Use Wordtracker Keywords for Automatic Blog Post Creation

With Article Forge, you can easily turn Wordtracker keywords into high-quality blog posts that will rank. Doing so will dramatically minimize the overall time and money you spend researching and creating content.

First, head over to the New Article page. This is the main Article Forge interface and this is where the magic begins.

Next, enter your keyword into the “Keyword” box and specify the length and optional customizations for your post e.g. images, videos, and relevant external links.

You will also notice the “Section Headings” option. When set to “On” and “Auto-generate” Article Forge will research and generate 1,500+ word blog posts with section headings with a single click.

You can then simply scroll down and click “Create New Article” and just like that Article Forge will create your blog post within about a minute.

(Optional): Choose Your Own Section Headings

We would like to stress that this step is entirely optional. But, if you have specific ideas about the blog post you want to create (e.g. if you have your own products to sell or affiliate links to add), Article Forge has got you covered!

For maximum flexibility and control within your AI generated articles, you can simply uncheck the “auto-generate section headings” option. This will allow you to pick your own section headings. However, make sure you follow these three crucial rules:

For context, with the keyword “best sunglasses for running” we recommend choosing examples of the keyword. So you could add section headings like:

  1. Nike Valiant
  2. Nike Circuit
  3. Koo Supernova
  4. Smith Tempo Max
  5. Sungod Ultras

You can add up to 8 section headings and Article Forge will produce content for all of them. Once you have selected your section headings you will then enter them just like this:

Finally, scroll down and click “Create New Article”. Exactly as before, Article Forge will begin working to create your blog post completely automatically.
